Superboy, in his solar suit, is a notable character from the Cartoon, Young Justice. This version is a clone of Superman, created by Project Cadmus. Initially presented as a mostly-Kryptonian clone, his origins are later revealed to include human DNA from Lex Luthor.

He first appears in the Young Justice Cartoon episode "Independence Day, Part 2". Unlike Superman, this Superboy initially lacks heat vision or flight, relying instead on tactile telekinesis, which allows him to simulate super strength and limited flight by manipulating objects around him, including himself. He wears a specialized suit designed to regulate and focus his solar energy intake.

Throughout the Young Justice series, Superboy grapples with his identity, his relationship with Superman, and his engineered origins. His character arc focuses on his journey towards self-acceptance and proving his worth as a hero independent of his genetic donors.
